Boy, with the cool weather today, it seems like Trade Fair weather! At any rate, less than 3 months till the Schoenbrunn Village Trade fair and it will be here before we know it. There will be several new Vendors this year to add to our list of quality Vendore's we now have. The Village is looking great, several groups are volunteering their time to keep it looking fantastic. We are working on getting several grants and will use this money for cabin repairs and such. We also have a desire to built some of the lost buildings that were put up in the 20's so let's hope these grants come thru.
Don't forget to get your raffle tickets, information on our web site at www.schoenbrunnvillagefair.org We have another list of fantastic prizes again this year. One change, the raffle prizes will be given out starting at 3pm on Sunday, October 20th. This is a change from previous years at 2pm.
Not juried yet, still plenty of time, check out the web site for applications and rules. Jury ends September 30, 2013.
Hope to see you at events remaining til October. have a safe summer.

Well, the 4th Annual Schoenbrunn Trade Fair is over and it was a great weekend. A little rainy on Saturday morning but glorious Saturday afternoon and Sunday. Turnout was very good for both participants and public. The Ken Netting fowler was won by Pat Lipps from Common Ground Pottery!
As usual, the breakfasts both days were superb and the Village Volunteers did a masterful job of keeping wood supplied and making sure we had everything we needed. Special thanks go out to Roy Howman, Lee McBee, Dave Moore, Raplh Arms, and Matt Bottomly for all their help in making my job a lot easier.
Thanks also to Todd Miller for his great demonstrations on Flax breaking, Matt Wulff and Mark Cory for their excellent talks each day, Greg and Marianne Leopold for the GREAT food, and all the guys who helped out with the Musket demonstrations each day!
Next year's Trade Fair will be October 19 & 20, 2013 so get it on your schedule soon. If you haven't been to this event, you are missing one fun weekend! See you all next year! Have a Happy Holiday season!
